i went to see my tuition teacher yesterday.
he taught me about the three layers of the brain.
all reptiles have the reptilian brain,
all mammals have both the reptilian brain and limbic brain.
as for humans, they have that two brains and the neocortex.

the reptile brain only help the reptile to survive.
they are only concerned about food, shelter, reproduction, etc.
but they have no sense of space, unlike mammals, which have the limbic brain.
this is why you will see snakes crawling above one another into some disgusting ball of snakes, and you dont see the dogs crawling above one another.
mammals listen to instructions, eg. you give a dog a treat when they behave well and they remember it and behave well.
this is why circus always train mammals but not reptiles.
snakes follow the pipe thingi when the guy plays the pipe thingi coz its their internal instinct to follow it, not because they are trained.

it helps them think logically, but not according to wisdom.
eg. when you were young, you wanted to speak, but someone asked you to shut up. you were hurt. so the neocortex made you remember not to speak because you will get hurt. so to you, its logical not to speak to prevent yourself from getting hurt.
