mahjong
its my very first time even touching a mahjong tile today.
and its also my first time learning how to play.
happy to say that i managed to game duno 3 or 4 times.
i went to zhanhao's house with wenjiao, yongchuan, kitfong, yichin, yongcai, heezhi and jason.
when i reached, only yongchuan and kitfong were there.
so the 4 of us played daitee.
so sorry, i had almost forgotten how to play at first.
after the rest arrived, 4 of them played bridge.
i tried a few rounds but there were some parts i still do not understand.
the television was switched on and they started talking about riches women.
then there was this 1970s show where the dressing were like, so out dated, and the guys were laughing at the way they dress and talk.
okay, after all these, it was mahjong + play station time.
i went to see how wenjiao, zhanhao, yichin and jason played.
while the rest played some violent killing game.
after a few rounds, jason went to the toilet, so zhanhao and wenjiao quickly taught me some rules to play mahjong.
i took over yichin since he felt sick.
he bought his laptop, which really came in handy.
listen to music...chat in msn...etc.
erm, according to zhanhao, we played the singapore style.
it was actually easy to learn, but i still do not understand:
the wind directions (who is what wind)
throwing of dice
who starts first
when put 18, when put 19
pay how much when one wins
i heard them saying 'tai', which i still do not know what is it.
at least i know that 13 unique wonders aka shi sai yao is hard to get.
we played on the plastic sheet so it was difficult to slide the tiles.
i can now really believe why people said that mahjong will let one get addicted to it.
zhanhao wanted to play the drinking game (drink water when one loses).
of course none of us agreed to that as it was almost impossible.
before going for lunch, almost all of us went to the toilet even though we did not play the drinking game at all.
yichin was feeling sick, so he wanted us to packet chicken rice up for him, but in the end, he was persuaded to go down.
we went to a nearby stall for lunch.
like what zhanhao said, it was really less than a minute walk.
oh, i agreed with heezhi for saying that it is possible to get addicted to chocolates.
because i already am.
wenjiao said that her friend claimed that dark chocolate will not make you fat.
hmm, i love dark chocolate..
after lunch, we went back to zhanhao's house and continued what we were doing.
we took turns to play.
as beginner, i had to manually count the bamboos and the circle things.
mahjong is totally about luck.
ohya, heeai was in msn with yichin, and his laptop had a webcam.
so cool right!
and heeai called me, so she saw me talking to her.
she wanted to have dinner with us, but it was little too early, so sad.
soon, it was dinner time and some had to go home for it.
we kept everything and made our move.
ha, i could not wait to play mahjong again!
though im not pro or anything, but i really enjoy playing and hope to learn more from them next time.
