Friday, January 9, 2009 4E5'08 chalet7 to 9 jan was the 4E5 chalet.it was in costa sands, pasir ris, S9 and S10.(my primary school chalet was the same place S13.)on the first day, i met up with the rest and went to macs for lunch then head down to the resort.upon arrival, the girls went to S10 while the boys went to S9.we played card games like 'homojalei'...? (did i spell correctly?), daitee, etc.after this, since there was a soccer ball, we went to the field just outside the resort to play captain's ball and soccer.the breeze was very refreshing and cool.after playing, the boys went to collect some stuff, while the girls went to wash their legs as they played bare footed.we then went to the bicycle rental shop just inside the resort.i think that the bike quality is much better than the one i rented on my primary school chalet.the price and the time to return are the same in both shops.moreover it is so near the resort.after this, we left our bikes at the chalet, and got ready to eat.must thank many people for helping us start the fire and cook the food.first thing up was chicken wings.i did not eat as it was a little inconvinent, so i ate crabsticks, hotdogs, and many satays.yanling, aka long long, was not allowed to stay.at least she came here and took pics with me.after eating, we sat and chit chat while waiting for the rest to finish eating and go cycling.to kill time, tracy, quirong, elisa, huiming and i went to take a stroll in pasir ris park.by that time, the sky was already very dark, and the sea was black, so the lights at the harbour was very beautiful.we took pictures there and sat on a breakwater while enjoying the breeze.at around 9, we went back and continued our chat.until around 10, we set off to cycle.the boys were saying to cycle 42km around singapore for 6h.upon hearing that, the girls were shocked but we promised to try our best.and off we go.there were 13 of us, where 2 of them were bladers.i try to recall where did we pass...i may not remember the order of it too...pasir ris park-changi village-changi airport-east coast park-then saw bedok mrt-simei mrt-tampines mrt-downtown east-and at last...costa sands.it was a long journey.uphills and down slopes.poor qiurong fell twice, and injured herself and a skin came off her knee.weekeat the blader 'flew' and fell, and got wounded badly up to his shoulder.though they sound exaggerating, they were sure to be painful, but glad that they could make it back to the chalet.we even cycled on the road, since there were not much cars at that time.we cycled until around 4-5am, and were beat when we reached the chalet.the humps and kerbs caused our butts to be in pain after sitting on that uncomfortable seat for so long.everytime i stood up to rest (sounds so strange), i felt my thighs burning inside and started to cramp, and the muscles inside were like going to pop out of the part above my knee.we did have some toilet stops and water breaks along the way to keep us awake.there was a part in east coast park, elisa was really almost sleeping on the bike, and she did not realise that there was a turn and she went into the grass.the stretch along changi aeroplane takeoff that place, it was so dark!poor elisa said that she attracted a lot of cobwebs as she cycled at the front.we stopped at a 24h macs in ecp for a break.some boys bought a cup of sprite and a packet of (curly) fries(..?) for all 13 of us to go round the table.so nice of them as almost all the girls were both mentally and physically exhausted, so the food acted as some wake up call.when we returned to the chalet, almost all the girls who went to cycle, including me, showered then sleep.we were all too tired to do anything else.i was predicting that all our leg muscles would be aching when we woke up, and it was true at that very moment when i woke up, but the pain gradually subsided as time passed.i woke up at 9.30 and by the time all of them got ready, we went for brunch at 11am.some of us ate at the food court while the rest went to macs.the girls were planning to leave after brunch, but miss siti's visit changed their minds.i wanted to stay for the original 3days 2 nights, but since they wanted to leave for home, i could not stay there myself.miss siti brought both her husband and 2month old daughter to visit us.they even bought pizzas for all of us.ohya, when the girls were plying cards game, the boys suddenly came in laughing and were so eager in asking some 'IQ' questions.erm.i totally did not get it at first, though the boys did gave us clues.clever elisa was the first to figure out some similar trends for those MRT questions.the results were really cold.many other freezing jokes were said too.even miss siti's husband joined in the fun.ohno...i still had one that i did not understand...jinghao said that there was something to do with the word's alphabets.nevermind, i will ask those who knows next time.after miss siti and family left, the girls also made our move.we packed and go to wait for the shutter bus.the bus driver said that those from aloha could not board the bus, only those from costa sands were allowed.i went to my grandpa's house with huiming, who told me about her olevel experience.she was so worried about her results.and that was totally unnecessary.don't worry about the results as we had done our best.speaking about olevel results, 12 january would be just a blink of an eye away.and my holiday would be gone.Posted With ♥, shermaine | 12:32 AM
