Sunday, December 21, 2008 volunteer worki went to do some volunteer work with heeai, yichin and jason at orchard today. it was my very first time doing this without the school to push me. no wonder my CIP hours are like...
i met up with them at tpy mrt and train down to orchard. when we reached there, the person in charge gave us a briefing, then we set off.
we took a white ball and first wrote our own wishes on it. then we went around asking from other people. yichin tried targeting little children. but some of the little children were afraid and did not want to write on the ball. there was once when they asked a 2 year old boy to write something, and it ended up that he just scribbled some lines. while his elder brother wrote his name.
finish the volunteer work already! we each had some chocolates! i love that dove chocolate. =P then we went to play pool after much hesitation.
we went to a shopping center, and went into a pool shop. yichin and heeai were trying to see whether the people below can see them as they thought that the glass was tinted. but actually, when we went out to see, the glass was not fully tinted, and we could actually see the people inside playing. SO, that means, when heeai and yichin were trying to say 'hi' to them, and trying to entertain the people outside, they can be seen.
it was my very first time playing pool. yeah! i learnt a new sports today! yichin tried teaching me the way to put the hands, way to stand, ways to hold that stick, etc. thanks so much! (wow, 2 first times today--volunteer work and play pool.)
yichin had this really talented and uncontrollable skill of shooting the white ball and it flew over the ball which he intended to hit. it was useful at times, but usually a disaster. heeai, yichin and jason were all so totally pro lorhx. unlike me, a bit also cannot shoot in. the ball infront of me, in a nice straight row, also seemed impossible for me to make it go in. a new discovery: play pool needs to be both left and right handed. haha, because there are some balls i tried to hit, but cant as im right handed, so yichin had to do the job as he is left handed.
after playing, we went to the steps which heeai and i had discovered. the 137 steps. when climbing up, the boys chionged up like some wind, while heeai and i were like panting all the way up.
at the top of the flight of stairs, we tried taking pictures of different poses. it was very fun. in many of the pictures, we were trying to act emo. yichin said that this could be a good album cover for our emo band. sounds like a great idea! can't wait to see the results of the emo band album cover.
after taking pictures, we went back to tpy the pasar malam and bought some food. then we went back home.Posted With ♥, shermaine | 10:42 PM
