primary school chalet
first thing first.
thank you to all of my primary school classmates who came for the chalet.
thank you to many of the organisers who brought things there and made things happen.
there are too many people i wanted to thank, too many to list down.
the night before the chalet, i had an 8 people conversation in msn.
namely, heeai, xinpei, yichin, kimwee, yongcai, jason, zhanhao and i.
so cool right!
we were discussing about the chalet, of what to do there, what to bring, etc.
almost everything under the sun.
day 1 of chalet.
my father fetched me, heeai, xinpei and joween to coasta sand at pasir ris.
wanted to pick many more but there were no more space.
so sorry...
upon arrival, the boys were already there, together with marie.
all of us played cards, namely daitee, bridge, black jack, uno, cheat, etc.
after more people arrived, we started getting ready for the bbq.
the fire was out 6 times until it was successful.
since everyone was hungry while waiting for the fire, they ate the beehoon which was cooked by my mother early that morning.
i fried the eggs, big credit. haha, jk.
yichin's beehoon theory was incorrect as he said that beehoon is always left there untouched, for show only.
after the fire started, everyone ate the bbq, then the girls went into the room to watch the television.
heeai and i did not join them as we did not catch those shows.
heeai brought out her spiderman bottle which was filled with soap for blowing bubbles.
i tried blowing and popping them.
after that, yichin and heezhi played with it.
heezhi took the bottle and blew out bubbles while yichin burst them with the tongs.
they did this, along with some bollywood dance.
after the bbq, there was no space in the chalet to sleep, so we went out to wild wild wet and walked around the arcade which was going to close.
after we left the arcade, we went near the sea where there were bbq pits.
we sat there, chat and play cards, while enjoying the breeze.
the wind was cold so lucky heeai, yichin and i bought jackets.
after the weather got much colder, we all went back to the chalet.
we played cards until morning.
then it was day 2.
day 2 of chalet.
i ate bread with tuna.
xinpei squashed the tuna until yichin said it looked like dog's food.
so he ate bread with a whole lot of butter.
after eating, we went to the beach to watch sunrise.
unfortunately, it was raining, so there was no sun.
we went to wild wild wet to buy super glue for kitfong's broken specs.
then we sat at some steps to chat for a long time.
after this, we went back to the chalet.
i tried to sleep, but to no avail, while those who did not sleep, went to take a nap.
i stayed up and did random things while waiting for the rest to wake up.
then we went to the foodcourt at white sands for lunch.
the 3 girls, heeai, xinpei and i, were not hungry, so we ordered 2 bowls of korean food to share.
after eating, we went to the arcade there to play.
the games there cost a bomb.
totally not worth playing at the arcade.
after playing at the arcade, we went to rent some bikes which was quite far away from the chalet.
upon arrival at the rental shop, we rented 6 bikes and a tandem.
xinpei sat on the tandem with jason as she did not know how to ride a bike.
it was $15 for each normal bike, until 11am the next day.
we rode back to the chalet and got ready for the bbq as we had leftovers from the night before.
all of us hid in the room to play cards while some boys went to start the fire.
i think they learnt from the previous night's experience, so this time, the fire started soon.
i tried bbqing marshmellow and it was fun!
i tried turning over the chicken with the tong, but the heat was unbearable.
i tried puting butter on the chicken wings which were over the fire, but after a few, i could not stand the heat any longer, so i gave up.
i wonder how heeai, yichin and the rest did that.
totally amazing.
after eating, we went to ride the bikes.
since 2 more classmates joined us, there was not enough bikes, so 2 of them had to tompang.
we cycled to the road, which was very dangerous.
kimwee was going so close to the cars.
we stared with fear that any of us might collide with a vehicle.
fortunately, none of the drivers horned at us, in fact, they gave way to us.
so instead of dangering our lives, we went to pasir ris park to cycle instead.
we cycled to the end, where the harbour was in sight.
the lights were so beautiful as the sea and sky were very dark.
i tried taking pictures, but they were all very blur.
after that, we all rode back to the chalet as kimwee and brighid had to wait for brendon.
so this time, we had enough bikes and went cycling again.
we cycled to the other end of pasir ris park.
jason and yongcai rode the tandem, while the rest rode individually.
until the end, we sat and rest at a tentage.
feeling curious, heeai and i wanted to try the tandem.
i sat at the front and at first, the tandem was quite wobbly and unstable.
heeai and i were screaming as we could not find the CG.
but after a while, we got the hang of it and realised that it was quite fun.
so heeai and i rode the tendem all the way back.
we went back to the tentage and they started saying ghost things.
they started giving names to each other as they said that it was some commander duno what thing, duno what ghost.
so in the end, since my name begins with S, i was sierra, that country(sierra leone).
then heeai was hotel, kitfong was kilo, yichin was yankie and other funny names.
i kept forgetting to call them using their second names.
after that, we all rode to wild wild wet that same steps.
some went to buy drinks at mac and we chat there.
after a while, we rode back to the chalet.
fortunately, i managed to sleep, if not, i would end up like some vampire.
i did not know what they did, but i heard that some of them went for bowling as it was very boring and not enough space to sleep.
i had a bad block nose so i slept like some selfish pigs.
i did not sleep since the start of the chalet so i was tired by the 2nd night.
so this marks the end of day 2.
day 3 of chalet.
i woke up at around 8.30 and some of them were still sleeping while the rest went out cycling i think.
after everyone was awake, we ate breakfast and packed things to leave.
those who rented the bikes went to return them.
when we reached the rental shop, the shop was still not open, but there was this little boy at around 8 or 9 years old.
he was so young but he spoke like a businessman and had a lot of courtesy.
we walked back to the chalet.
then we carried our bags and checked out.
we took bus 88 back to tpy interchange while jason and yongcai took the mrt.
i should not have bought so many things as i did not use most of them.
that made my bag so heavy.
many times, heeai and i went to the pasir ris park together and enjoy the breeze.
it was my very first chalet and i totally had a wonderful time with my primary school friends.
